Chapter 8 (Part 2)

Setting out, Jun Hui travelled along villages and cities, to get to the abandoned town of Izpenia. He could see that the kingdom had changed very drastically since the monster attacked. There was violence everywhere, shops were looted and houses were set on fire. The kingdom was about to fall into a state of no return if nothing happened soon.

But that was for later. For now, his mission was to travel to Izpenia to see what had happened.

After traveling for about a week, he had finally reached the coastal village. Just as the king had said, the village was surrounded by a range of mountains, but for a wizard of his caliber, it was no mean feat.

He dismounted his horse near the mountains, where he felt a strong barrier pushing
against him. He quickly opened a hole in the barrier, and stepped in, while leaving the horse to go free. After all, the king was rich.

Suddenly, he heard a piercing scream.

“Ahhhhhhhhh!” Jun Hui dashed towards the source of the sound.

He saw a young lady of astonishing beauty being attacked by a squad of undead skeletons. She was obviously in danger, and the skeleton warriors were not supposed to be around. Only an advanced necromancer could have summoned that many at one go.

“Θα καλέσει τα δεκαεπτά πνεύματα της φωτιάς!” Jun Hui yelled out some of his spell incantations. (I summon the seventeen spirits of fire!)

Seventeen fire spirits appeared around Jun Hui as he directed each of them against the undead warriors, burning them and changing them back to ashes.

With the danger gone, Jun Hui stepped up to the lady, and offered his hand.

“Are you ok? My name’s Jun Hui, whats yours?”
“My name is Ren” The girl replied, still mostly in shock.

Yep, ladies and gentlemen. I have chosen Ren as my heroine. Hahahahaha.
